Scallops are big business here in northern Japan. We developed our Zen Ocean Plaster out of a desire to recycle the shells that are a by-product of the local scallop industry in an environmentally friendly manner. The natural white coloration, as well as the odor and moisture absorbing properties of the scallop shells makes them ideally suited for use in interior plaster. Zen Ocean Plaster comes in 12 colors for a wide range of interior uses, from Japanese or Western style homes to retail and office spaces. |
